On the eve of the beginning of the Rotary Year 2019-2020, the Rotary Club of Accra-Spintex at their Handover ceremony inducted president-elect, Rotarian Eli Evans as new president for the new Rotary year. It was preceded by the reading of the year report by the immediate past president, IPP Edem Prosper Amevordzie.
He recounted the projects he led the club to undertake during his 12 month period which include the continuation of the new KG block construction for the Lashibi Basic School, our annual beach cleaning exercise, Fundraising Walk, etc. He charged the incoming president to continue with projects that were not achieved including a solar powered bus shed, charttering of a new Interact Club at Queensland and Lollipop stand. He announced that the Rotary Club of Accra won a District Award and the Gold category of the Rotary International presidential citation. He also presented citations to members of his board for their support.
Deserving club members and the board of the 2018-2019 received citations for IPP Edem.

In his acceptance speech, the new club president, RP Eli Evans congratulated the immediate past president for his hard work and promised to continue the good work he begun. RP Eli also outlined his plans for the year and sought the support of all members of the club to make the year a successful one.
The Rotary Club of Bohicon, Benin sent a delegate, Dr. Marius Flatin to present a gift to RP Eli Evans and congratulate in on their behalf. He presented to him, a gift that he says symbolizes Unity. It is the symbol of Benin and also that of the club of Bohicon.
