Power of Dreams & Aspirations as a girl Essay Competition

Charter President Sika donates an electric sewing machine, sewing accessories and some fabrics to one of the participants who displayed some sewing skills.

Girls Tower High Inc. in collaboration with Rotary Club of Accra Spintex sponsored an essay competition for girls in Junior High School at the Old Lashibi Basic School in Lashibi a town in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
Girls Tower High, Inc is an organization in the United States, founded to instill hope for a future in many disadvantaged girls.

The essay competition is aimed at giving young girls in deprived schools like Old Lashibi Basic school the opportunity to express themselves and develop their writing skills through the essay topic, The power of my dreams and aspirations as a girl child.

The first, second and third winners will receive $500, $300 and $200 worth of educational materials, respectively. They will also receive one year mentorship from Girls Tower High. All participants will receive consolation prizes.

Geo-location – Lashibi, Accra Ghana

Goal/Objective – To give young girls in deprived schools like Old Lashibi school the opportunity to express themselves and develop their writing skills through essay writing.

One of the students who aspires to be a fashion designer was surprised with a sewing machine by the Charter President of the club, Sika Tettey.
